The youngest students demonstrate pre-technique movement while beginning through advanced students perform choreography in ballet, modern, jazz, and tap techniques. Choreography for these students is thoughtfully created by BDC’s faculty members.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBainbridge Dance Center’s 2014 Student Performance will include “Rainbow Etude” (pictured above) danced by their Advanced Modern Repertory students. \u003cimg style=\"margin-top: 6px; margin-bottom: 6px; float: left; margin-right: 6px;\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0152\/6355\/files\/musicDanceI_-_Version_2_large.jpg?2322\" \/\u003eThis piece was choreographed in 1996 by renowned dancer and choreographer, Donald McKayle, and was taken from an earlier (1959) full length work of Mr. McKayle’s, titled “Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulder.” The opportunity to study this choreography has been made available through the American Dance Legacy Institute.
