BPA Chamber Music Series: Inspired by Dance 

Performance: September 23, 2012; Sunday @ 3:00 p.m.

Local musicians and chamber music enthusiasts gather together for lively afternoons of performance and discovery as three seasonal concerts highlight a mixture of strings, winds, vocal, and piano repertoire.  

The September program features rhythms and dance forms, both ancient and modern, that inspire much of the classical repertoire. Brass will join us for this exhilarating concert. Included will be works by Francis Poulenc, Emmanuel Chabrier, Peter Schickele, Tielman Susato, Norman Bolter, Paul Harris, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Lowell Shaw, and Julio Medaglia.

Performers include Allison Pearl Baine (horn), Patricia Beasley (clarinet), Susan Bray (harpsichord), Samuel Brodsky (piano), Suzanne Burton (flute), Gary Dahl (conductor), Wade Demmert (trombone), Barbara Deppe (cello), Amy Duerr-Day (oboe), Daniel Foreman (Trombone), Lisa Hirayama (flute), Judith Lawrence (bassoon), Andrew Morgan (clarinet), Shelley Reiss (oboe), Bridget Savage (bassoon), Dan Schmidt (trumpet), George Steward (trumpet), Chuck Weise (Trombone), and Malcolm West (percussion).

Patricia Beasley and Amy Duerr-Day moderate the series, which will showcase talented artists of all ages in an accessible and inviting format.
