D'Arcy Clements

D'Arcy Clements
D’Arcy Clements was once called a “Renaissance Woman”, a title that stuck. She has been a teacher at BPA and KiDiMu since 2010, and is a former Camp Director for The Mountaineers Kitsap Forest Theater. Other credits include being a non-stereotypical stage-mom, BPA Education Board member, and longtime Island resident. Favorite performances: “I Got You Babe” on her BFF’s front lawn (still has the 45-record), Mae West “Mad Dog Blues”, Lady Macbeth “Macbeth”, and Mombi the Witch “Marvelous Land of OZ”.
Professor Clements worked in Corporate America for 11+ years before becoming a mom, and is still deciding what she wants to be when she grows up. In the interim, besides loitering at BPA, she uses her fallback occupation as a Mathematician and teaches on an academic stage at Olympic College, Bainbridge Island School District, and West Sound Academy. She is a “Highly Qualified Certificated Educator” in Washington and obtained M.Ed. (Old Dominion), B.S. Mathematics (SeattleU) with minors/coursework in Programming, Business, Musical and Shakespearian Theatre, and a strong, successful, hands-on background in Special Education.
D’Arcy is grateful for her BPA family as they provide her with a second home. They surround her with her loves: sharing her passion for theatre with people of all ages and backgrounds, learning, teaching and developing creative expression, great memories of her hero, Jack Clements, and participating in the growth and development of theatre students, especially the apple-of-her-eye and star-of-her-stage, her beautiful daughter, Libby.
