Lee recently graduated with her DMA in Cello Performance at the\nUniversity of Texas -Butler School of Music studying with the Miró Quartet\ncellist Joshua Gindele. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eShe began cello studies at the age of 9 and continued her\nstudies at the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division with Andre Emelianoff.\nLee continued her studies at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music (BM)\nstudying with Norman Fischer and at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (MM\nChamber Music) studying with Jean-Michel Fonteneau. Her principal teachers have\nalso included Timothy Eddy, Hyung-Won Chang, and Michael Kannen. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eLee was a prize-winner in the Yonkers Enrico Fermi Concerto\nCompetition resulting in a performance with the Yonkers Philharmonic\nOrchestra.\u003cspan\u003e\u0026nbsp; \u003c\/span\u003eShe was also a winner of the\nUniversity of Texas- Butler School of Music String Concerto Competition. Her\nperformance was nominated by the Austin Critics Table Awards for Best\nInstrumentalist. Lee has also performed as a chamber musician and recitalist in\nesteemed halls including the Overture Center, Alice Tully Hall and Carnegie\nHall. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eAs a chamber musician, she has performed with such artists\nas Ian Swensen, Jorja Fleezanis, Bonnie Hampton, Joel Krosnick, Jean-Michel\nFonteneau, eighth blackbird, Bang On A Can All-Stars, and the Colorfield\nEnsemble.\u003cspan\u003e\u0026nbsp; \u003c\/span\u003eLee is a founding member of\nthe Sonorous Ensemble premiering many newly composed works. In addition, Lee\nhas performed in masterclasses for Mstislav Rostropovich, Paul Katz, Desmond\nHoebig, and Colin Carr.\u003cspan\u003e\u0026nbsp; \u003c\/span\u003eAs an orchestral\nmusician, Lee has performed with the Austin Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Santa\nCruz Symphony, and the San Francisco Lyric Opera.\u003cspan\u003e\u0026nbsp; \u003c\/span\u003eLee has also ventured beyond classical music\nand has recorded and performed with the Christian rock band Future of Forestry\nand toured with Fernando Ortega. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIn addition to performing, Lee is a dedicated teacher and\nhas served on the faculties of the University of Texas at Austin String Project\nand the Austin Chamber Music Center as well as maintaining her own independent\nteaching studio. She is currently faculty at Texas Lutheran University.
