Teresa Thuman is thrilled to be back with BPA and this immensely creative and enthusiastic community of performers. At BPA, Teresa has directed The Producers, Noises Off, Secret Garden, Urinetown, Kiss Me, Kate, and Little Shop of Horrors and most of these alongside the amazingly talented Jessica Low. Directing credits around Seattle include Henry VIII, King John, As You Like It (GreenStage); The 39 Steps (Second Story Rep);She Loves Me, The Impresario, Into the Woods, Working, Opera Workshop (Shoreline CC); The Book of Nathan (Theater Schmeater); Pericles (Cornish); Fiddler on the Roof, Anything Goes, High Society, My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra (SMT/CLO); (Bainbridge Performing Arts); Miracle Worker, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Tartuffe and Oliver! (Driftwood Players); and numerous fringe and new-work festivals. Teresa is the founder of Sound Theatre Company where she has directed The Illusion, The Foreigner, Pygmalion, Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged), The Tempest, Troilus and Cressida, Top Girls, The Last Five Years, The Further Adventures of Anse and Bhule in No-Mans Land and The Belle of Amherst. Other west coast directing credits include A Comedy of Errors, Dancing at Lughnasa, Henry V, Woyzeck, Damien, True West, Prelude to a Kiss, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Loman Family Picnic, Yours Anne and On the Verge (or the Geography of Yearning). At the Oregon Shakespeare Festival she served as Assistant Director for The Merchant of Venice and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Teresa has taught at UW School of Drama PATP, UNC Chapel Hill, Shoreline Community College, Cornish College, George Fox University, Freehold ETI and served eight years as an Artist-in-Residence at PCPA Theatrefest in California, where she taught in the Conservatory and acted in over 30 productions.
